The Armed Ape

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) has called for a ban on lead ammo.

If you are a gun owner do not support them with your money when they send out their letters asking for a donation.  Also send them a very POLITE AND CONCISE letter or email as to why you are not donating to them.   Often times in their donation request they send you address labels.  Please do not use these as it is just free advertising for them.

Now that Obama is in we will have to re-fight old battles.

Well, we got a new man on the job or I should say he will be on the job in a couple of months.  I can’t say that I am too thrilled.   However he will be our next President.  When we first saw him on the campaign trail he was very left of center, even for a Democrat.  As time went on he became much more centrist in his speeches.  I would like to think that while on the campaign trail he learned a thing or two about what is important to us as Americans and as armed, law-abiding citizens.  Go  and watch his speech in Lebanon Va. dated Sept. 9 2008.  The only thing that gives me any hope at all is that he may realize how important the 2nd Amendment is to Americans.  However I don’t hold out much hope seeing that the American Hunters and Shooters Association is behind this claim.  If you don’t know who and more importantly what they stand for,  I’ll tell you.  They are a sham, they support gun bans of rifles and handguns.

Now is the time to contact our reps in Congress, in the House  and all of our local officials and let them know how important the 2nd Amendment is to all of us regardless of political ideologies.  Remind them that the new President said he will not take away our firearms and we will hold him and his administration to that promise.

For those who don’t know the battle for Dick Heller still continues.  DC continues to thumb their collective noses at the Supreme Court ruling.  Currently Congress, who has control of DC, is enacting legislation to make the City government comply with the Court’s Ruling to allow DC residents to be able to have handguns for self defense and thus be able to exercise their Second Amendment Rights.
